Image Host Guide

A quick and easy guide on how to host images on the web!

How to save pictures onto your computer

When you are surfing the web and you come across a picture you like, you can save it on to your computer by putting your cursor over the image & right clicking. You will see a menu pop up, choose "Save Picture As..." & save into the appropriate place.

How to upload pictures onto the web

First of all, you need to find a image host. You can find a list of them here: http://zetahelp.net/resources.php

Most image host services work in roughly the same way. One of the more popular image host services is http://photobucket.com

Here is an example of what the uploader part of a image host service looks like. Clicking on "Browse" gives you the chance to have a look through the files on your computer for the picture you would like to appear on the web. It also gives you the chance to upload up to 19 pictures using the drop down menu. Once you click Submit, your picture is on the web! Free for you to place where ever you want! =D

How to take a screenshot

You hear people talk about screenies, ss etc and you are confused about what it's all about. A screenshot is literally a picture of your screen. Here is a screenie of mine:

To take a screenie, you press on the "Print Screen" button. Keyboards may differ on the name of the button but the location of the button is generally the same. It's along the top of the keyboard, next to "Scroll Lock" and above "Insert"

Next, you open up a paint programme like MS paint and press "Ctrl" & "V" at the same time to paste the image into the paint programme. Once you have pasted it, you can edit the image any way you want.

They do indeed rule!
